As products mature and categories become more competitive, growth often slows not from lack of innovation, but from a growing disconnect between product, brand, customer understanding, and go-to-market execution. Teams become siloed, messaging loses clarity, and businesses that once felt differentiated begin to sound increasingly similar. The rapid adoption of AI has accelerated this shift even further.
Having worked across commercial strategy, brand direction and audience-focused growth roles in London, including extensive experience within deep-tech media, digital platforms and events, I saw first-hand how internal bias and disconnected teams can impact revenue, and how difficult it can be for complex products to communicate value clearly in fast-moving markets.
